| In my masters thesis I focus on memory studies and autobigraphical novels. I analyze Amos Oz’ memoir ‘ A Tale of Love and Darkness’ that weaves the author’s private trauma about his mother’s suicide to the story of Israel. I compare ‘A Tale of Love and Darkness’ with Knud Romer’s Danish novel ‘Den som blinker er bange for døden’. In my analysis I use terms such as collective and individual memory.
