Climate change

Climate change touches on virtually all the basic elements of human society - not only through its impacts, but also in the efforts to prevent it from getting worse. Climate change is therefore not only about environmental change - but also about the advent of new policies and new political and economic risks and opportunities.

DIIS researchers accordingly deal with the issue of climate change from a number of different perspectives, ranging from security and international politics to trade, development and livelihood studies.

Our approach is to take an outset in the disciplines within which we have an existing solid foundation, and on this basis engage with and contribute to the new issues, knowledges and multi-disciplinary partnerships that are emerging in climate change.
