A month of turmoil in South Sudan

Luke Patey's comments to the Wall Street Journal

February was a busy month for South Sudan. The world's newest country completely shutdown its oil production after Sudan confiscated several shipments through the only existing pipeline route in late January. At the same time, the South Sudanese government has continued to make efforts to rail in rebel groups to quell insecurity in the country.

Luke Patey's article in African Arguments on oil in the two Sudans was quoted in a story by the AFP. He was also interviewed by the Wall Street Journal on South Sudan's rebels.
