Tuesday 12 September 2023, 15.30-18.30
The German Embassy in collaboration with DIIS - Danish Institute for International Studies
Göteborg Plads 1, Nordhavn
2150 Copenhagen
Earlier this year, Denmark and Germany both presented their new national security strategies, formulated in response to the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. But how have Denmark and Germany's foreign, security and defence policy benchmarks changed a year and a half after Russia’s unlawful invasion? Which similarities and differences can be found in the two countries' strategies? And which opportunities for an increased Danish-German cooperation can be derived from this?
The German Embassy and the Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS) invite you to a panel debate on current developments in Danish and German foreign, security and defence policy. High-ranking diplomats from the Danish and German foreign ministries as well as experts from DIIS and the German Council on Foreign Relations (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik, DGAP) will discuss and compare the current security policy perspectives of Denmark and Germany.
